National Conference Review and Results
Mt. Pleasant High School (largest amount/school) and Hanby Middle School were recognized for outstanding contribution to our Service Partner the American Cancer Society. Due to their efforts and other TSA members Delaware was recognized for the largest contribution by a state of $29, 092 to the American Cancer Society. The American Cancer Society recognized the Delaware Delegation at one of the General Sessions and then at the “TSA/ACS Semi-formal Commemorative”. Springer Middle School received the Chapter Excellence Award. Past President Jen Chan, Brandywine High School received the Gold Achievement Award, TSA Honor Society and the William Elrod Scholarship. The following are the individuals or teams that placed in the top ten during competition:The Delaware TSA Delegation of approximately 80 people including students, advisors, parents, and volunteers participated in the National TSA Conference. Delaware continues to make a positive impression at the Conference. Samantha Penta was placed on the National Officer ballot – running for Treasurer – she did not win but Delaware TSA supported her effort.
